Chapter Six

Respond to 2 of the three questions below.
1- Up until now, Equality has been sneaking in and out of his hidden place to work on his invention. One night he is caught sneaking back in to his “home.” What is his punishment?

2- How did Equality become free from the Palace of Corrective Detention?

3- The old locks and lack of guards in the Palace of Corrective Detention indicate that prisoners have never tried to escape. According to the text, why not?

  2. 1. Equality's punishment was being put into palace of corrective detention. While in detention the oldest council member says that Equality should be whipped until he tell where he was at. Equality refuses to tell them where he was even though he keeps getting whipped.

    2. Equality became free of the palace because he found out that there was no guards at the door. So he escaped by breaking down the door and he ran to the uncharted forest so nobody could find him.

  3. Q1 The night that equality was caught sneaking out of the hole and heading home people had seen him and they took him to the corrective detention.

    Q3 People had never tried to run from the corrective detention because they were to scared. Also they had no where else to to besides the forest. And when you went there you never came back so they just stay at the corrective detention.

  4. 1. He was sent to the palace of corrective detention. There he was tortured by being lashed with a wip. But he did not give in and kept his secret.

    2. He made his escape by using the darkness.

  6. Q1: Equality punishment for sneaking out of the hole, and leading home people, was he had to go to the corrective detention.

    Q2 : Equality became free from the corrective detention, by finding a out there were no guards at the door, or anywhere around. So he ran away, and ran to the unchanted forest.

    Q3- They are terrified of getting caught.

    Q3: People were too scared and knew better but they did'nt have the skills like Equality did.

  10. 1: He was taken into a room with no windows. He was tied up and beaten. Then he was asked where have you been.
    2: He realized that the locks and doors were old so he broke the lock and barged through all the doors.

  13. Q1: Equality was sent to The Palace of Corrective Detention. He was placed in a stone room underneath the palace of corrective detention. The stone room had no windows. Equality was stripped of his clothes and then was beaten because he would not speak of where he had been.

    Q2: Equality escaped by throwing himself against the door. The door swung open easily because it was so old. Also there were no guards around because no one had ever rebelled against the council. He ran through all the passage ways, and through the streets, and then through the tunnel.

    Q2: The lock was old on the door and Equality threw himself up against it and it had busted open.

    Q2: he became free by escaping. He basically got out somehow and took off.
